Subdomain Takeover: Understanding Dangling Domains in AWS Route 53
Dangling DNS records in AWS Route 53 can expose organizations to subdomain takeover attacks when they point to deleted or unclaimed AWS resources. This presentation briefly explains how these misconfigurations occur, why they pose a serious security risk, and how attackers exploit them. It also highlights practical methods for detecting and preventing dangling domains to improve DNS security and reduce cloud attack surface.
